Which pair of equations represents perpendicular lines? A.) y=2x+7 and y=x+7 B.) Y=2x+7 and y=-2x-2 C.)y=2x+7 and Y=2x-7 D.) y=2x-7 and y=-1/2-7

OpenStudy (radar):

Is D. correctly typed ? I don't see a x term.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (radar):

Well as typed, there are no correct answers. D. would be correct if the last equation was: y=-1/2x - 7.

OpenStudy (radar):

Perpendicular lines the product of their slopes is -1.

OpenStudy (radar):

You copy that RandiHobbs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, thankyou.

OpenStudy (radar):

The A solution product is 2 The B is -4 The C is 4 the D does not have the x term but the product if there was an x would be -1.

OpenStudy (radar):

Your text may have a typo, did you copy these?

OpenStudy (radar):

If I were forced to choose, I would choose D.
