Ambassador Committee: Dr. Preetha, cshalvey, @ash2326 @rebeccaskell94 @karatechopper @ParthKohli and @Carniel This is what I have so far. Let me know what you think should be added, omitted or changed. Please, please, please, let's not make this a huge debate post.
Have fun ;p
i know i shouldnt butt in to this post as it is only addressed to the "committee" but... this is just my feedback... 1) "3 other members must recommend them" <--members as in from the "committee" or OS users? 2) "timeframe of 3 weeks" i don't think it should be just limited to 3 weeks. i mean if an ambassador does something wrong (that merits them a warning/suspension) on, before, or after 3 weeks, the badge should be rescinded. 3) like i have said before a year of term for ambassadors seems long doesnt it? i mean less than half of the users today have been here for a year. my point being a lot of the old users wont make it to ambassadorship because of that "year term" because by the time a year has passed they would've quit OS or become inactive. OS itself is just around 2 and a half years old. 4) i think a nice requirement would be to have a minimum of 50 fans. that proves they are liked by the community lol. i know bad idea. but if you think about it people who are active in the site for "30 days of studying"..50 fans is not hard okay im done.you can shut me down now
No problem lgba :D 1) OS users 2) Fair enough. 3 weeks tops is good. 3) lol You have a very good point. How does 3 months sound? 4) Is iffy, it's a good idea but some people have no luck with fans haha Thanks @lgbasallote
i dont think you got my point in #2 but lol...i meant that the rule for ambassadors not to do anything naughty shouldnt be just limited to "within 3 weeks". an ambassador must go with the rules during his/her entire term as ambassador. because in your docx it says " give them about 3 weeks and if they are not handling the responsibility well or are abusing their title, they lose it"..it just sounds as if after 3 weeks the ambassadors are free to do wht they want without the risk of losing the badge but you guys make the rule im just a passerby. so what do i know lol
Lol you are making good points. I didn't clarify that very well. I was *trying* (ha) to say that the first weeks the up-and-coming ambassador is on a trial period, so to speak. So the badge (if they decide to implement those again) is more like velcro than being sewn on lol Does that make sense?
i think you should say that in the docx lol..like i said..what i wrote is how your docx sounded..you wouldnt want the "future ambassadors" to think their home-free once they pass the 3 weeks period lol and btw..i think your idea sounds like the old "ambassador in training"..those people were able to do ambassador practices but they dont have the A yet. and that lasts for 4 weeks my point being while they are on that "trial period" why not give them the training too..that's what the old days did anyway..idk....again i am clear for shooting...
lol I won't shoot you, chill ;p I will change the docx... I didn't know they did that! What um, what kind of training was done? I didn't apply before @Laura* left, so I'm not sure haha. Maybe you could msg me the details, it sounds reasonable. My brain is so epic that it thought of this. ;D
