factor out the greatest common factor 24xyz^2 + 20x^2 yz – 4x^2 z^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since 24,20, and 4 are all divisible by 4, 4 is a common factor: 4[ (6xyz^2) + (5x^2yz) - (x^2 z^2) ] now work on the variables. Since all of them have at least one x and z, pull htose out: 4xz[ 6yz + 5xy - xz ] that is as far as you can get Hope this helped!

\[24xyz ^{2}+20x ^{2}yz-4x ^{2}z ^{2}=4xz(6yz+5xy-xz)\]
