It's acceptable to correct spelling and punctuation throughout which steps of the writing process? (Choose all that apply.) A. Drafting B. Editing C. Prewriting D. Revising

Although such corrections are usually done in earnest in B & D, why wouldn't it be "acceptable" to correct erors as you see them at any stage? I find this to be a poorly conceived question and would demand a re-write!! *Teachers (good ones, anyway) love such critique - it shows you're thinking! ;)

Actually, I would say all of them except A. When writing a draft, although you CAN, you shouldn't worry about spelling and grammar in this stage. This stage is simply to get all of your ideas onto paper.
