Sorry, no, the answer is Arabic. The word "algebra" come from the Arabic phrase "al jebr," and while it clearly has its roots in Greek mathematics, much of its development is attributed to Muhammad al-Khwarizmi and other Arabic mathematicians in the early Byzantine era.
