OpenStudy (anonymous):

A^2 + B^2 = C^2 (path theorum) a = 8 b = 10 c = ? 8^2 + 10^2 = C^2 64 + 100 = c^2 164 = C^2 C=root 164 C= 13

i dont think that right ..

lol, i dont have a calculator atm and im too lazy to pull it up on my cpu ;D but side c= root 164 from their just use SOHCAHTOA to solve for the angles :P

................

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SOHCAHTOA: sin = opposite/hypotenuse cos = adjacent/hypotenuse tan = opposite/adjacent so you can solve for angle "Z" by finding the cos of it (adjacent side/hypotenuse) so cos(z)=8/c (root 164) cos(z) = 8/12.8 cos(z) = 0.625 z = cos^-1(0.625) z = 51.3 degrees and you can solve angle "Y" by finding the tan of it (opposite side/adjacent side) so Tan(Y)=8/10 Tan(Y) = 0.8 y = Tan^-1(0.8) y = 38.6 degrees check: 51.3+38.6+90=180? 179.9=180 i rounded my answers, but your teachers should accept that unless he's a major retricehole :P
