What are the characteristics of a graph of a polynomial function which has a multiplicity of zeros?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = (x + 6)^2 (x – 7) it says that x=-6 twice, but I don't get it

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

it will bounce on the x axis not go through

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so why did they put it in those terms? And thanks...

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

what terms?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=-6 twice... and not just say what it means...

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

they said the answer is x = -6 twice?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no a "website" say under their graph that x=-6 twice for that equation...

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

seems like two different questions, the first one asked about the charactersitics it did not ask for a solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh... the answer I was looking for was to state the characteristics and then state what x=-6 twice means maybe I should have been clearer.
