Given the sequence 5, 20, 80, 320, ..., which expression shown would give the tenth term?

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

It looks like this is a geometric sequence with a common ratio of 4... In English, that means every next term is the previous term multiplied by 4 :D So the second term, 20, is the previous term, 5, times 4, The third term, 80, is the previous term, 20, times 4. And so on... Can you work it out from here? :)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

you get that right @_AriannaMoniquee ? :)

yeah thanks ^.^

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

No problem :D
