Sasha has 80 tomato plants and has room in her garden for r rows of plants. Which expression would she use to figure out how many plants need to go in each row?

OpenStudy (blockcolder):

Is it necessary for the rows to have the same number of plants?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

she has room for "r" rows, and she needs to plant 80 plants, right ? so in each row, she can put 80/r plants. let x be the number of plants in each row, then the expression becomes : x = 80/r
