OpenStudy (btaylor):

CA High School Exit Exam question: (no joke) if -n = 3, what is n? A. 3 B. -3 C. 0 D. Not enough information.

OpenStudy (kainui):

The equals sign says both things are equal. So if we imagine it says 10=10 we can divide both sides by 5 to get 2=2. Similarly we can divide both sides of -n=3 by the same number to find out what n equals.

OpenStudy (btaylor):

OpenStudy (kainui):

Nah, I live in Texas, it's worse!
