My problems are "Write an equation that models how old in years each of you will be, when your ages add up to 150 years old. For example, if x = your age and the eldest person was a year older than you, you would write their age as x + 1. Then the equation would be: x + (x+1) = 150." and "At some point during the lives of you and the youngest person, your age will be three times his/her age at that moment. Write an equation which models how old in years each of you will be when you are three times as old as the younger person?" My ages are 13,32,33
Show the equations that you came up with and we can help you work through it.
I haven't came up with anything I don't understand exactly what it means
for the 1st question you could say a=13, b=32,c=33 the 3 people's ages in 1 year they will be (a+1) , (b+1), (c+1) after n (unknown) years: (a+n), (b+n), (c+n) can you write an equation for when these add up to 150 years?
