I'm getting a weird bug glitch thing here. This happened after the tab crashed in Chrome, and after doing a normal reload, the messages/notification icons came back, but it took a full reload to get the facebook/twitter icons back.

Whoa. Yeah, looks like you may have run into a period of high load or something where serving the files wasn't working quite right.

I'm not sure if this is related, but I'm also getting a glitch where it says people are online, yet when I move my mouse over the icon, it immediately switches to saying "offline." Using Chrome 20.0.1132.39 beta-m on windows if that helps.

Not so sure that's a bug with you as it is a bug with our online-ness. :\ We've been getting reports of inconsistent behavior.
