Angle-Side-Angle (ASA) Postulate 1. the definition of a perpendicular bisector 2. Angle-Side-Angle (ASA) Postulate 1. congruent parts of congruent triangles are congruent (CPCTC) 2. the definition of a perpendicular bisector
ok. so i think the answer is the first choice.
brb asking my mom
and whys that is because it cant be the second or last because CPCTC is always last.
or should i say after the ASA SSS etc
It is certainly not the second or fourth one. However, Notice a couple things about the proof. First, they use CPCTC immediately after (2), so it seems unlikely that it will be used in (2). However, if you look at (2), notice that it's asking you to find the reason for \(\Delta BAD\cong \Delta BCD\) so you want some reason that shows triangles are congruent. ASA fits perfectly. Since we've already eliminated the second option, it must be the third. Also, I love the picture title :P
:D thanks so much george:D
Also, if you do a quick check to make sure "the definition of a perpendicular bisector" fits for the first blank, you'll see that it does indeed make sense. (because of the bisector part).
yes it does!:D thanks george!
