The sum of the measures of the interior angles of a polygon is five times the sum of the measures of its exterior angles, one angle at each vertex. How many sides does the polygon have? *can someone help me and explain the answer to me world problems are a struggle.

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

What is the sum of the measures of its exterior angles?

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

What is the sum of the measures of exterior angles of ANY polygon?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since the sum of the exterior angles of a polygon is always 360, the sum of the interior angles is 1800. Further, the sum of the interior angles of a polygon is (n-2)180. (n-2)180 = 1800 n-2 = 10 n = 12
