It's true that lots of tasks are done through the web these days, but regardless of the medium, computers (backed by lots of different technological infastructure) is involved.

I would say no.

The introduction of machines in the MacBook Air class of computers (much more light weight, less horsepower) have been introduced for the common user. For people like me who need a machine that has get-up-and-go, there are still professional grade machines that can do our work.

The common user is going to buy one of the lower-end models, while people like me will continue to buy the more expensive counterparts to get our computing needs met.
