what is peptide bond?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

peptide bond links 2 amino acids together

OpenStudy (anonymous):

peptide bond(CONH2) is a bond formed between COOH of one amino acid and NH2 of another amino acid after liberation of 1 H2O (water) molecule

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In protein molecules, α-amino acids are linked in a linear sequence. The α-carboxylic group of one amino acid is linked to the α-amino group of the next amino acid, through a special type of amide bond( -CONH2-). this bond is known as peptide bond and it formed by a condensation reaction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

peptide bond is the covalent bond between the carboxyl group on one amino acid and the amino group on another, formed by a dehydration reaction (removal of water molecule). I attached a drawing (good enough kind), but pardon for my penmanship.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

peptide bond is a bond with |dw:1366383307337:dw| in it
