What is the center and radius of this circle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (math_bender_15):

figure out the diameter first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i read it ???

OpenStudy (math_bender_15):

it should be 4 i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Center: (3, -5); Radius: 7 Center: (3, -5); Radius: 14 Center: (-5, 3); Radius: 14 Center: (-5, 3); Radius: 7

OpenStudy (math_bender_15):

i can not help you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not even sure wat to look for all i see is one big circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

radius is 7 units and center is (-5,3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how ?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

in the x-axis the cirle goes from -12 to 2 average these values give the x coordinate in the y axis the circle goes from -4 to 10 average these to get the y coordinate this will be the centre then the radius is the distance to a point say (-5, 10)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u can see center by just counting the horizontal and vertical boxes in the center of circle the point where the circle become half is the center of the circle and the units are called radius .. let me explain through figure..

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

oops distance from the centre to the point (-5, 10)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

? where did u gt 10 ?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

I read it off the circumference of the circle.... but you need to centre before anything else
