OpenStudy (laronjaxon):

multiply x2/3*x3/5

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

is it \[\frac{x^2}{3} \times \frac{x^3}{5}\] or \[x^{\frac{2}{3}} \times x^{\frac{3}{5}}\]

OpenStudy (laronjaxon):

the second one @campbell_st

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok... so you need the index law for multiplication \[x^a \times x^b = x^{a + b}\] in your question you have \[x^\frac{2}{3} \times x^\frac{3}{5} = x^{\frac{2}{3}+\frac{3}{5}}\] hopefully this will help you get the answer
