how closely are the blue jay, pelican, finch, american robin, and cardinal related? Illustrate this in a cladogram.

Wikipedia will help you find out how closely related they are: there's generally a little box on the right-hand side saying what genus/family/etc. a species is in. Sometimes clicking on the names in that box will take you to a page where there actually is a partial cladogram already drawn (not always, but you can check). Once you have that information, you should be able to draw your own cladogram yourself.

Just a small hint: most of the birds on your list are passerine birds (perching birds), so they will be more closely related to each other than to a species that is not in Passeriformes, a big order within the class Aves (birds).
