What are you inferring by inferring Trance music? Pardon my ignorance, but is it like a genre or something?

Yeah, trance is a genre. I think it's a type of techno that doesn't hit so hard.

Trance usually has quickish repetitive rythms that sometimes put people in 'trance' like-stance. As the rythm repeats itself, more sound are slowly added. Infected Mushroom is a band with a lot of trance music. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trance_music - lots of information here.
