Mathematics 8 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

The lengths of the sides of a triangle are given. Classify each triangle as acute, obtuse, or right. 7. 7, 8, 9 (1 point)acute obtuse right 8. 15, 36, 39 (1 point)acute obtuse right 9. 10, 12, 16 (1 point)acute obtuse right xoxox any help is appreciated!!

Parth (parthkohli):

Do you know how the system works for all the three triangles?

Parth (parthkohli):

In acute: \( \color{Black}{\Rightarrow a^2 + b^2 > c^2}\) In obtuse: \( \color{Black}{\Rightarrow a^2 + b^2 < c^2 }\) In right: \( \color{Black}{\Rightarrow a^2 + b^2 = c^2 }\) IMPORTANT NOTE: C IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE LONGEST SIDE LENGTH IN ALL OF THEM.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! My teacher never explained that rule.

Parth (parthkohli):

:D you're welcome and I hope you're comfortable with that explanation ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It actually makes perfect sense to me now :D I'm going to write it down so I never forget

Parth (parthkohli):

lol ;)

Parth (parthkohli):

Hey, anyway.. I have to discuss something with you First of all, Welcome To OpenStudy!!

Parth (parthkohli):

This is a free site, but not a rule free site :P so here are the rules http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct
