I can't find the file editor window you use to edit longer scripts on the version of Python I downloaded. When I search my computer, I only find IDLE and Python (command line). If anyone could tell me where to find it/download it that would be great.

Open IDLE, then click File->New Window.  Save that file as blahblah.py (make sure you actually type the .py to preserve colored text) and type to your heart's content.
