Multiplying by minus both the sides, (REMEMBER WHEN IN CASE OF INEQUALITIES, WE MULTIPLY MINUS (-1) BOTH SIDES, THEN INEQUALITY SIGN REVERSES)..

\[(x^2 - 9) < 0\]

And Use:

\[a^2 - b^2 = (a+b)(a-b)\]

\[(x - 3)(x+3) < 0\]
