Using complete sentences, explain how the formula for the area of parallelogram ABCD is derived

area of parellegogram ABCD= area of triangle ADC+ area of triangle ABC
area of triangle ADC=1/2*h*DC=1/2*h*b
similarly area of triangle ABC=1/2*h*b
adding both we get area of parelleogram ABCD = h*b
