elenas daughter sold 69 boxes of girl scout cookies..........she was told that the amount represented 20% of the troops sale....how many boxes did the troop sell??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this problem can be translated as "69 is 20% of what number?" then we turn it in to math by \[69=.2\times x\] and solve for \(x\) via \[x=69\div.2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@satellite73 i dont get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says she sold 69 boxes, and that 69 is 20% of the total right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
