Evaluate. pay close attention to all brackets and signs. |_-2.99_| + |_2.99_| Can anyone explain this please.

OpenStudy (zepp):

What are there underscores for?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the |_ is suppose to be attached.

OpenStudy (zepp):

Like this? \([-2.99]+[2.99]\)?

OpenStudy (zepp):

If so, that makes 0.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No theres either one top line or bottom line. yea i got that now thanks. but some other questions wont show up. when i put [3.9] in it gives me 3.9 but thats not an awnser

OpenStudy (zepp):

Ohh, I see what you mean by bracket, these signs mean int, integer; If we transform -2.99 into an integer, if would become -3, 2.99 would become 2, -3+2=-1
