What is the primary reason fusion is not used in power plants? Answer Fission generates more energy than fusion. Current technology is unable to control the reaction. The cost of using fusion in a practical way is too high. Fusion causes too much air pollution.

The second choice. The only way anyone has yet been able to generate a significant amount of energy from fusion is in a thermonuclear bomb. Not especially practical. Mind you, it is easily possible to generate tiny amounts of energy from fusion. It can be done on a tabletop.
