Write a rule for the linear function in the table. I would appreciate it if someone could check if i got this right or not. If not could you please explain. x | f(x) -3 -1 0 2 3 5 6 8 first both values increase by 3 so x=3 and f(x)=3 m=3/3=1. so the rule i got was f(x)=x-1.

first, let's try with x=0 according to your equation f(0)= 0-1= -1 but the table says f(0)=2. so back to the drawing board. one way to solve this is treat 2 of the pairs as points, and find the line through the 2 points. (at the end, call y f(x)) I would use for example (0,2) and (3,5). find the line through those 2 points
