What is the exact value of square root 75/21? Simplify if possible.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

is it \[\frac{\sqrt{75}}{21} ... or..\sqrt{\frac{75}{21}}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is not one of my answer choices. I listed them up there in the image

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

I'm asking about the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, sorry. It's the second one.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

\[\sqrt{\frac{25 \times 3}{7\times3}}\] eliminate the common factor of 3 and it leaves \[\frac{\sqrt{25}}{\sqrt{7}}\] the numerator can be simplified \[\frac{5}{\sqrt{7}}\] rationalising the denominator \[\frac{5}{\sqrt{7}} \times \frac{\sqrt{7}}{\sqrt{7}} = \frac{5\sqrt{7}}{7}\]
