) For A = (-2, 7) ⊆ R define the functions f, g : A → R by f(x) = 2x – 4 and g(x)=(2x^2-8)/(x+2) verify that f = g Is the result of part (a) affected if we change A to [ - 7, 2 ] ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f = g only with 7 so (-2) would not be defined?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When we take the closed interval g will be discontinious in -2 but f will be having a real value...so the parentheses does matter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so f = g only in with {7} and part be if we change A to {- 7, 2} neither value would make f = g

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x) = x = g(x) for all values of x are members of A
