Statement Reason 1. Angle MLO is congruent to angle NKO. Given 2. Angle JLO is congruent to angle JKO. Supplementary angles of congruent angles are congruent. 3. Segment JO bisects angle LJK. Given 4. Angle LJO is congruent to angle KJO. ? 5. Segment JO is congruent to segment JO. Reflexive property 6. Triangle LJO is congruent to triangle KJO. ? 7. Segment LO is congruent to segment KO. ?
Where's the diagram for this?
What are the three missing reasons? Reason 4: Definition of angle bisector Reason 6: Corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent. Reason 7: SAS Reason 4: Definition of angle bisector Reason 6: AAS Reason 7: Corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent. Reason 4: Definition of supplementary angles Reason 6: SAS Reason 7: Corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent. Reason 4: Definition of supplementary angles Reason 6: AAS Reason 7: Corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent.
I chose choice 1
tips?
1 is wrong, because it gives a statement about two sides, they aren't actually proving those two triangles are congruent.
My second guess would have been choice 2
Angle LJO is congruent to angle KJO, wouldn't be definition of supplementary angles, remember, supplementary makes 180 degrees. So it's absolutely definition of angle bisector.
Yes, 2) is right, good job :)
