A simple question... 6 - 9w = 24 Should I do 6 - 9w =3 to have -3w/24? Or 24 - 6 = 18/9w?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

You want to isolate w, so you want move everything but w to the other side

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

So you have to move that 6 over. How do we do this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cancel out by addition?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

be more specific

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH, I got it nvm ._.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

what did you get for the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you're right, w = -2 is the solution
