why does the Hydrogen has the different position in electrochemical series than in reactivity series?

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

bcoz electrochemical series itself has built by keeping hydrogen electrochemical cell as reference !!!!

GO TO THis : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reactivity_series

you will fo=ind out all your answer.... @chmvijay has a elegant answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I still can't get it. In the electrochemical series, it represent hydrogen's tendency to release electron. In reactivity series, it represent hydrogen's reactivity, also by releasing electron?

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

keeping this constant they have built electrochemical series

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the positions are different as both of them are different properties of a molecule or an atom.
