Which of the following sequences is not arithmetic? 1, 2, 3, 4, ... 2, 4, 6, 8, ... 0, -2, -4, -6, ... 1, 4, 9, 16, ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Arithmetic sequences keep adding a certain number to the previous. The first equation adds one each time, so it's arithmetic. So does the third one, adding -2 each time. Now, can you tell me which sequence doesn't add a fixed number each time?
