OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you find the base length of a triangle?

OpenStudy (aravindg):

measure using scale

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1340737390078:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it looks like this though and gives me A=36 cm squared

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well A = (1/2)bh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would i use that with this problem?

OpenStudy (aravindg):

yep use 1/2bh=36 here h=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Base it what give the triangle it's support. In this case the height is 4.

OpenStudy (aravindg):

1/2 b=9

OpenStudy (aravindg):

b=18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You typed too fast Arav xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hahah ya you do type fast

OpenStudy (aravindg):

:) i hav improved

OpenStudy (aravindg):

welcomess

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if i have a problem that looks similar i just do the same thing right?

OpenStudy (aravindg):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it gives me A=208 cm squared and the base of the triangle is 16.i got 13 as my answer. is that correct?
