"If the perimeter of the adult pinball machine is 167 inches, what is the length, in inches of ?" Don't know what the question wants. The length of what in particular? Did you miss anything out?

sorry about that G'A'

Okay. Note that both shapes are similar. Why? because the question said so "It is similar in size to the adult version of the same game. " When 2 shapes are similar it means that they are equal in proportion. So taking 35/14 which is the base of the adult machine divided by the base of the child machine. The answer is 2.5 This means that for the side GA it will also be 2.5 longer than that of the child machine. So you need to find GA first. This is done by taking the perimeter given as 167 inches and minus the rest to get GA. 167-56-56-35 = 20 Thus the G'A' is equals to 20/2.5 =8
