jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

AB^2 + BD^2 = AD^2 24^2 + x^2 = 26^2 Solve this equation for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jim_thompson5910 is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jim_thompson5910 : HOW DO I SOLVE THAT ? IF I DONT KNOW WHAT BD = ?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

The value of x is BD in this case. Simply get x to one side and everything else to the other to solve for x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

24^2 + x^2 = 26^2 you can solve it by subtracting 24^2 both sides then , we have x^2=26^2-24^2 now simplify 26^2-24^2 and then take square root of (26^2-24^2)
