The origin is contained in the solution set for the following system of inequalities: 2x + y < 5 2x - y< 3 Answer: True False

OpenStudy (rulnick):

The origin is (x,y)=(0,0). So if you replace x with 0 and y with 0, you will be able to see if they are true or false. OK so far?

OpenStudy (rulnick):

The first becomes 2(0)+0 < 5 which is true.

OpenStudy (rulnick):

The second becomes 2(0)-0 < 3. Is this true also?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohk yes i got tht

OpenStudy (rulnick):

Great.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (rulnick):
