Okay so my teacher asked me to re write a poem using today's language I have no ideal what she's asking? please help

Hi there. I think what your teacher means is that you should take the poem and rewrite it in language that people would use today. For example, if you were rewriting a Shakespearean sonnet, you would look at the definitions of old fashioned words and substitute modern ones for them, as well as making the language style sound more natural (i.e. don't just change the words, but also make the way the poem reads as a whole more modern)

I used to have this question. It was pretty much i had to rewrite sonnet 13 by shakespear in todays language so i had to read the poem numerous times in order to decide what kind of language and style i should write it in
