Can someone please explain to me, preferably in simple terms, the viral lytic cycle and lysogenic cycle?

the virus usually the bacteriophages infect the bacteria they pass down their genomes into the bacteria and then dettach, the viral genome gets incorporated in the bacterial one and controls it to produce the viral parts such as the capsid (outer protein coating of virus) etc. The viruses assembles inside the bacteria and when their number increases the bacteria undergoes lysis i.e breakdown releasing many more viruses which further infect more bacteria.
