For the Ambassador's Committee only: I have a new idea! What if each one of us from the committee posts what you personally think is necessary for this program to happen. Give details, ideas and concerns. 1 post each. @karatechopper @parthkohli @ash2326 @Carniel Colm, and Dr. Preetha

Okay, well this is what I have. I have changed my file to accommodate all the feedback I have been given, so hopefully everyone approves or agrees at least to some extent. • How to become an ambassador a. I think they need to be a fairly long standing member (30 days “studying”) b. At least 3 other members must recommend them, as well as another ambassador or mod c. They need to have good character, be mature, responsible, and be able to control their angers and jealousies. • Responsibilities of an ambassador a. To welcome the new users they see on the site b. To provide said new users with link to the Code of Conduct c. Show the new user around and how to ask questions and find new subjects d. Give basic tips such as: no answer sniping, don’t post your questions in chat or in the wrong subject (i.e. a Spanish question in math) • Extra thoughts and ideas: No bullying through their title. Even under the guise of “just kidding” I’m kind of thinking that if an ambassador doesn’t come online for about maybe 6 weeks they lose their title. I think, like in all political groups, we should limit the timeframe for ambassadors. Maybe give all ambassadors a year (give or take) so that other users may have the opportunity to become ambassador without OpenStudy having to constantly add new ones to the point where an ambassador is so common it’s pointless to have one. Just some of my thought’s let me know what you think ☺ ~Rebecca Kelly I also think the input @ash2326 put here is extremely helpful http://openstudy.com/study?login#/updates/4fe29ecde4b06e92b87187a9

Parth (parthkohli):

Well, I disagree partly with the 'just kidding' thing. It's not that the ambassadors are not allowed to make jokes. They can joke around so that they don't appear like robots ;) But, one exception is that they must not be allowed to say something that is related to a group/community. Also, the recommendations have been misunderstood. Now I get a whole bunch of messages about the recommendations, and I think that they are forced ones. Everything else is okay right there.

No bullying through their title. Even under the guise of “just kidding” bullying is never okay ;)

Parth (parthkohli):

Well not really bullying, but if you have noticed - Ash calls me a 'kid'. I find that okay, and it ain't offensive. If an ambassador says a not-so-offensive thing, then it's okay to cover it with a 'jk'.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Calling someone "kid" isn't bullying. I'm not saying ambassadors cannot be normal people with a sense of humor. Some people tend to take their title too far and I don't want them thinking that because they have any power whatsoever they can bully someone. Cheers
