Okay this is kind of a funny thought, but it's an honest question. I had someone play the song "Favorite Girl" by Justin Beiber the other day and she loves JB (for some unknown reason ;p) I was listening to the lyrics thinking that they were actually pretty good and it was kind of cute that a guy actually cared. Then I thought about music "adults" make that basically just says "I wanna sleep with you" (that was said in the nicest way possible) Why do you guys think this is, and what are your opinions on it?
Even though i disike JB, he had better lyrics. And, the music my parents listen too are indian songs, and the really old ones, which aren't "i want to sleep with you" stuff. They actually are about love, and sometimes my dad listens to humorous songs. And, you do NOT want to hear a indian mad in a song :D
I don't like Justin's songs either, but I was listening to the lyrics and they caught my attention haha What are some the artists your parents listen to? (out of curiosity)
mmm scratch that, I don't like his voice. The songs are fine enough I guess. I only know like 3 of them though.
My parents listen to Sharukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sonu sleek-feathered onem, Aamir Khan, and a bunch of others. They also play the songs in movies, because in indian movies, they play songs in it./
Wait WhaT? * sonu sleek-feathered onem
AAAAAH
Filters. Don't try to pass them. haha
Songs are often written for a specific target audience. "Favorite Girl" was written by four adults; Antea Birchett, Anesha Birchett, Delisha Thomas, and Dernst Emile II. Performers like Justin Beiber shop around for songs they feel will be successful and are consistent with their image. Beiber and his production team know the demographics of his fan base. Overt sexually is not part of his image. It’s not as much about the age of the performer as it is about the target audience. Record companies are in business to sell records (MP3, etc). Commercial radio stations are in business to sell advertisements. Promoting great music is secondary. As soon as the demographic of Justin Beiber’s audience shifts, chances are he will be presented with more ‘let’s get it on’ songs to consider recording.
Oh, that makes sense. Thanks!
Oh boy, don't EVEN get me started on the beib. You think his lyrics are cute? I hang my head in shame for the human race if that kids music is considered good anywhere. It's manufactured by the MAN I tell you!
i dislike him so much
