-4x+2y=8 Add the two equations together. 4x-3y=-10 -y = -2 y = 2 Now substitute that back into one of the two equations. Put your final answer in an ordered pair (x, y). Don't forget to check the solutions back into both of the original equations.

Take any of the equation, set y=2 4x-3y=-10 4x-3(2)=-10 And solve for x
