Factor completely by grouping 4x^2 + 12xy + 2x + 2y

first take out 2 2(2x^2 + 6xy + x+ y) -i cant see how this cant be factored any further - r u sure the question is correct?

Determine whether the following polynomials can be factored by grouping. If so, factor the polynomials showing all work. If not, explain why this method will not work. 4x2 + 12xy + 2x + 2y 3m2 + 6mn + 7m + 14n

Ok. TO factor by grouping, pair off the first two terms and last two terms. Then factor out the GCF from each pair. Since what's in the parentheses isn't the same, that's all you can do. 4x^2 + 12xy + 2x + 2y 4x(x + 3y) + 2(x + y)
