Why? Where are you stuck?

umm well the equation is x-3y=-6 and i dont get it

their is nothng too understand in maths ..:p lol..:) BTW...WHATS UR QUESTION?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

x-3y=-6 Make y the subject. Same as y = mx + b x-3y=-6 -3y = -x -6 3y = x + 6 y = 1/3 x + 6/3 Now compare it with; y=mx+b Where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

i have 2 graph it 2 though i need 3 intercepts

how do u graph that??

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

If you want to graph, learn 2 phrases by heart and you will never stuck again. When y-intercepts,x =0 When x-intercepts, y=0

Example: y = 2x+1 is a linear equation: The graph of y = 2x+1 is a straight line When x increases, y increases twice as fast, hence 2x When x is 0, y is already 1. Hence +1 is also needed So: y = 2x + 1 Here are some example values: x y = 2x + 1 -1 y = 2 × (-1) + 1 = -1 0 y = 2 × 0 + 1 = 1 1 y = 2 × 1 + 1 = 3 2 y = 2 × 2 + 1 = 5 Check for yourself that those points are part of the line above!
