Variables are generally two types
1. dependent - This are variables which are depending on other variables for change. For eg: y = f (x)
Here y is dependent variable and will change as x changes.. It may be directly or indirectly proportional.

2. Independent - This variables are independent variables and user defined. Looking into the above eg. x is independent variable and you can put any value for that...
