Hi Everyone. So, in regards to the Ambassador Program, I'm hoping to now be involved, and see what you've all come up with. Also, I would like to see a 'Code of Conduct' like document for the Ambassadors, maybe an 'Ambassador's Pledge'? Similar to what @rebeccaskell94 has already begun with everyone's input. I will be listening to suggestions, and reaching a final decision soon. For this first round of Ambassadors, I would like *5* Ambassadors selected. Thanks for your hard work everyone!
@ash2326 @mathslover @ParthKohli @rebeccaskell94 @lgbasallote Please feel free to tag anyone else who is interested in the Ambassador program, thank you!
Okay, Colm, I'll work on writing something up today. Thanks
I was thinking of making one of them — but I am too lazy on it. I'd try making one simple three line pledge for the ambassadors so it seems that it's some simple work. But, I see that Becca has already written the rules — so I think that we have to convert it to 'I will' or 'I shall' form. Cheers!
@livformusic @Agent_Sniffles @hottie97 are all interested in being an ambassador
@cshalvey thanks a lot for tagging me in this question : I dont' think that there is anything left .. rebecca has done a great work regarding this . I will just say that they must do their duty honestly and they are just like representatives selected by public . i mean that they should interact with users in a right way and tell them the rules and regulations or some new features . like a client - ? - user . their must be "?" here in os and that is ambassadors .. That's all . Thanks again
Thanks @mathslover but it was all me on that, so your guys' input would probably be appreciated by @cshalvey
\(\textbf{Whatever happens } - \textbf{I'd be ready to entertain anyone in need.}\) From this day on - I promise I'd act like I represent OpenStudy and all its users, no matter what. I'd be nice to \(\textbf{ALL}\) users - and I'd always be glad to work for OpenStudy as I am one of the most important. I will act like one responsible person as an ambassador, a leader, a user, and finally - an Earthling. I pledge that I would be a great ambassador for my stay on OpenStudy.
Doesn't look impressive :|
Yes...I wanna be an Ambassador. I guess. :P
@parthkohli it's a good start!
And then we're free to write the rules that becca wrote in her doc ^.^ The best thing is that it's just like the Code Of Conduct. -Short pledge - 3 sentences. -Detailed explanation in a lot more serious language.
@karatechopper
Since moderators are not always online or they are not able to handle that all in one chance : it takes time . But i will just request or u can say that suggest that ambassadors should be allowed to delete comments that are not valuable for a particular question or r abusive . this is just a suggestion Well as @ParthKohli took pledge i will also like to take pledge : "I pledge that I would be a great ambassador for my stay on OpenStudy."
Well I think it'sounds good. We don't really need to complicate it and Ambassador's will be expected to follow the originial CoC as it is. So, sounds awesome. :) No @mathslover I don't think ambassadors should have taht privilege.
a pledge eh? aright lets see...
yes - my afternoon time - that is the ghost time, but the trolls are on their peak.
No problem @rebeccaskell94 i just gave suggestion and i also thought the same .. i think u r right .. nothing is left more ?
@colm what happens when a fellow ambassadors' committee member has blocked you and I want to send an important message to him/her?
may be friends work at that time @ParthKohli
I don't think that the ambassador's should be given the task of deleting any but maybe like they make some sort of tagging function where we can tag a post we think is questionable.
hmn that is also some what a modification @rebeccaskell94 ... u r right ..
Sorry guys, I was having issues with my connection :( But I'm back now
I am an AMBASSADOR From this moment, I shall be Respectful Respectful in the sense, that I shall not hurt anyone in any which way. I shall look up to that person. From this moment, I shall be Responsible Responsible in the sense, that I shall commit to greeting and never let a new user down. I shall most importantly remember to link them the CoC, and explain the important rules about OpenStudy. From this moment, I shall be Reliable Reliable in the sense, that I shall be able to answer questions which that user has about the site. If not able to help with answering on the site, I shall at least try my best to find someone who can. I should be trust-worthy. I am an AMBASSADOR. AND I STAND UP TO TAKE THIS POSITION. -(ok so i have limited time at the moment im about to start a quiz!) this may sound weird if u don't want the pledge i truly don't care you can use if you want or trash if you want!)
Hah good one kc!
u like?
Yes I do.
Its long! but shows a bit importance! heh
Yeeeah good job kc. =D
lol no one gave me the feedback tho
never got to read your parth! *scrolls up*
@karatechopper that's a nice pledge
I like it @karatechopper! Great job :D
I think that the Code Of Conduct should be different from the pledge. Code of Conduct is a lot more serious thing. KC can be responsible for the Code Of Conduct, as we shouldn't really have a long pledge.
Thank you all! @ParthKohli ok so on yours I like it, a lot. but throw some rules in yaar!
KC, as I said - rules should be specified in the Code for Ambassadors, not the pledge. Pledge can be made short.
in charge of code of conduct? arre yaar ye kya hai parth? u wanting me to make CoC for ambassador right?
Yes, Code For Ambassadors \(\to\) CfA ;)
oh i see parth, i thought u wanted a comprimise of OS conduct in a pledge hah. Infact i got the respectful, responsible, reliable thing from my school. just those 2 words. everythin else i made up hah
Haha - so you may tweak yours a bit, and I'd include the 'responsible', 'reliable', and 'respectful' in my pledge. Both of us still have flaws, but we can exchange ideas ;D
NOOO!
MINE:) hah
Okay - so you be responsible for the pledge. Shorten that long chicken scratch lol
eh?
Shorten your pledge. I can be responsible for the Code For Ambassadors - or is it Code Of Ambassadors? I go for the first.
I like Code of Ambassador's it sounds more grammatically correct haha
Ok I am not good at responsibilities, so I hand Becca the job.
Noooooo! i like CoA..but becca can do if she really wants
Both are grammatically correct, but CoA is neater :D
CoA sounding cool
-___- patronizing me doesn't help. I was just giving my input. If the majority votes CoA then do CoA.
I vote for CoA. Sounds neat.
CoA!
Sure...whatever kc said...
Awesome, Sniffles. I'm not partial nor do I particularly care which one they choose to go by. It's basically the same thing CfA is very chik-fil-a like though :D yummy ;D
CfA was am option? dang i like tht!
sounds chat paata!
So CfA? Maybe yes - because CoC and CoA are very alike things
But so cool! lol
Let's continue. Hahah
Let's chat in OS Ambassadors' Chat.
I mean let's plan.
eh? ok !
@mathslover @ParthKohli @rebeccaskell94 @lgbasallote @agent_sniffles @karatechopper Sorry guys, I wasn't able to come earlier. I read this post thoroughly, you guys brought forward some great ideas, I really liked kc's pledge. But parth and mathlovers pledge was also great. I don't think that I could have thought of such ideas. You guys are awesome and really proactive. I'm ready to help you guys in any way I could, whatever it maybe count me in!! Thanks :)
Well ash you are a role model:) thanks for compliment heh
We love you ashy :3 @ash2326 ;D
Thanks @karatechopper @rebeccaskell94
@ash2326 that is great to see. sorry i was not able to reply due to school time . I pledge that i will be doing my work very sincerely and will try to give my best that i can do for the futures of this world and this openstudy group .
;) You're not an ambassador yet. But I know you will be one, for sure =)
@ParthKohli that is what i was thinking about .. thanks and i hope for the best ambys here
