The formula for degrees Celsius is: C = 5/9 (F − 32), where F stands for degrees Fahrenheit. please .. Part 1: Solve the equation for F and show all steps. Part 2: Determine how many degrees Fahrenheit 10 degrees Celsius is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is this how the problem was written because that isn't the formula for C...it is missing a number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes this is how it is written

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my bad i did miss the 5/9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well we will go with what you have then. to solve for F you isolate F by subtracting 32. what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i missed that up there. yes 5/9 was missing from it. so it's C=5/9(F-32) you would basically do the same, -32 from both sides and muliply by 9/5 and get your answer! what do you get?
