So for biology we have to do this protist resume and I already have the whole thing basically filled out for the Chondrus Crispus(Irish Moss) I just need like an achievement; such as for green algae it would be Early Ancestor to first known plants so something. And I've looked through wikipedia, algae base and a few other websites but all they really show is the description; HELP PLEASE!? D:

You might be able to use some of the "Uses" given on Wikipedia for this algae: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chondrus_crispus#Uses Otherwise... like all red algae, it's got a somewhat complicated life cycle ( http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0b/Life_cycle_Chondrus.jpg), though I'm not sure if that's quite what you need.

It'd be easier if you were doing it for red algae in general. As a group, they have a few interesting characteristics.

Yeh tell me about it but we have to pick a specific species so it's a lot harder.

In that case, it'd be easier to pick a really cool or unusual protist, like one of the parasites perhaps, or one of the ones that has symbiotic algae living inside it.
