What is the measure of arc PQR? 210° 255° 105° 75°

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Can you find the measure of arc PSR?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure how to solve any part of it? i at least want to know the formula to be able to do it myself.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

The basic idea is this if you can find arc PSR, you can use the fact that arc PQR must add with arc PSR to get 360 degrees So arc PSR + arc PQR = 360 arc PQR = 360 - arc PSR To find arc PSR, you simply double the given angle (this is using the inscribed angle theorem)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the measure of PSR would be 150?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yes

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

which would make arc PQR to be ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

225?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

not quite

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhhh its 210?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :) can you help me with another question that seems similar? ill post it.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

sure
